Index Information and Help

Creative Crafts Publishing Ltd has been publishing designs for many years. Now you can search our database to find just the design you are looking for. Whether you are looking for a Christmas card or some Assisi embroidery, if we have published it, it will be listed here. That said, this page is still under development. If you are lucky a picture will accompany the listing, although with over 4,000 designs it is taking some time to make all the pictures available. Also, whilst the New Stitches content is complete, Cross Stitch Gallery has not yet been added. It will be shortly though.

Simply make a selection from one or more of the dropdown list boxes. Issue numbers and Techniques featured relate to the Magazines, so you have to select a Magazine before you can select an Issue or Technique. However you can search on Subject and/or Finishing item independently.

Alternatively you can enter a word or phrase to search by. This is quite a simple search at the moment, it will only search on the exact word or phrase entered and return anything it finds. Any results found will be returned in issue order, rather than by 'best match'. Also, searching for 'cat' will likely return some cat designs but it will also return designs such as Catherine of Aragon, again in issue order; so you may think a cat is a better match than Catherine of Aragon and should be listed first, but it might not be, yet. Also entering several words will only search on the phrase, so 'lost coast' will only return matches to 'lost coast', it will not return designs matching 'lost' or 'coast' or 'coast lost'. This feature will be developed so the searching is more intelligent.

Finally, a few notes about the design counts given. For the most part, the design count refers to the total number of stitches horizontally then vertically in the design. However, the design count may occasionally refer to the actual design size in inches. This is generally the case for most non-cross stitch embroideries. Two other points to note: a) Alphabet design counts shows count of first letter of alphabet, capital A, to give idea of its size; b) The design count for borders and other continuous patterns is one pattern repeat.
