Cross stitchOriental Classic
The classic colours of Imari porcelain shine through in this Japanese style design

Cross StitchSummer Dining
Get ready for the warm days of summer and the prospect of al fresco dining with this charming floral tablecloth. The pink and red hues of the design is sure to add a touch of glorious colour to any table inside or out. The flowers are cross stitched on one of Zweigart’s quality table cloths and this one has a subtle damask circle of morning glory flowers in the centre. The table cloth is pre-hemmed and has sections on 11 count Aida on which the design is stitched. Should you require a larger table cloth, Mary’s ring of pink flowers can be stitched on linen and finished to any size you need.

Cross stitchSampler Roundels
Stitching in monchrome can be a very refreshing change, especially after all the festive colour and sparkle of Christmas! This sampler is made up of decorative roundels found on Vierland samplers. As they are all symmetrical, you can stitch the second halves of each from your own work (occasionally checking with the chart of course), making it a very enjoyable and relaxing project. We have taken a deep terra cotta as our thread shade, but as Mary explains, all colours and counts can be considered.

Cross StitchNordic Spires
The unique construction and decoration of Norway’s stave churches make them the perfect subject for Blackwork. Angular and symmetrical, they make an imposing sight in the Norwegian countryside. This particular design is a study of Eidsborg stave church in Telemark which was built during the thirteenth century. Any visitor to Norway would have marvelled at these magnificent buildings and now you can stitch one to admire in your own home.

Cross stitchLiterary Treasures
When you are in the mood for a touch of Hardanger these petite bookmarks are just the thing. We have stitched them on pre-finished linen band for easy finishing, but they can easily be worked on spare strips of 28 count evenweave and hemmed along the sides. The finer fabric gives the stitches an intricate look, perfect for these delicate bookmarks featuring stylised sunflowers. They make super gifts for any bookworms you know and, of course, your books will no doubt appreciate having a special bookmark rather than a folded-down corner or scrap of card!
